Dr. Brian Quinn specializes in general orthopaedics. He is board certified by the
American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Quinn is presently an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at
Albany Medical College, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. Past teaching assignments held by Dr. Quinn were at
The University of Chicago.
Dr. Quinn received his medical degree in 1955 from Cornell Medical College.
His internship was completed at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Dr Quinn, a Major served in the United States Air Force as a general surgeon.
He was an assistant resident in general surgery at Albany Medical Center then moved to
Upstate Medical Center as an assistant resident of orthopaedic surgery, then the University of Chicago Hospital
and Clinics. His last year of residency was spent at the University of Chicago as a senior resident
and instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Quinn has the honor of being one of the first two surgeons to form Capital Region Orthopaedics.
He is past president of the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons and was director for many years.
He served on the Board of Councilers of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons for 6 years.
Dr. Quinn serves on the board of directors for Orthopaedics Overseas. Dr. Quinn travels extensively for this group
and has worked in Malawi, South Africa, Peru, Siapan, Uganda, Tarzzie and Bhutan.
