Dr. Marc D. Fuchs is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. Dr Fuchs' area of specialization
is hip and knee reconstruction, hip and knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery,
and peripheral joint reconstruction comprises a majority of his practice.
Dr. Fuchs is also licensed to do the new Hip Re-surfacing surgery,
which is an alternative to total hip replacement.
Dr. Fuchs participates with Albany Medical College on the Orthopaedic Department as an
Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Fuchs is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
He is also a diplomate with the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Fuchs has been selected by his peers to be included in "The Best Doctors on America"
and the "guide to America's Top Surgeons." Dr. Fuchs is affiliated with Albany Medical Center and
St. Peter's Hospital.
Dr. Fuchs completed his medical degree in 1981 at the University of Rochester, School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Dr. Fuchs post-graduate work included an internship and residency at Northwestern University Medical School.
His fellowship in adult reconstruction was completed at Cornell University Medical Center Hospital for
Special Surgery. Dr. Fuchs has practiced orthopaedic surgery in Albany since 1987.
