Dr. Shatynski is a Board Certified Family Physician with a Certificate of Added
Qualifications in Sports Medicine. Dr Shatynski is originally from the Capital District
and graduated from Guilderland High School. He completed his undergraduate work at
North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
His medical degree was earned from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
He went on to family practice residency at St. Vincent Family Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania.
He then stayed on with St. Vincent Sports Medicine to complete his Primary Care Sports
Medicine Fellowship, and has now returned home to the Capital Region.
He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and American Academy of
Family Physicians.
Dr. Shatynski has extensive experience in a wide variety of sports including
football, hockey, and endurance sports. His personal interests include spending time with
his family as well as participating in running and triathlon events.
He has completed multiple marathons and Ironman distance triathlons
(including Ironman Hawaii).
Dr. Shatynski sees patients at the
Albany office.
