Dr. Richard Uhl specializes in hand and upper extremity as well as trauma orthopaedics.
He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Uhl is Professor of Surgery and Residency Program Director for the
Division of Orthopaedics Surgery of Albany Medical College.
Dr. Uhl has numerous memberships in professional societies, including the American Orthopaedic Association,
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand,
New York State Society for Surgery of the Hand, Orthopaedic Trauma Association,
and the AO Alumni Association. Dr. Uhl has been rewarded the "Golden Apple" Teaching Award,
he has been listed in "The Best Doctors in America".
His name also appeared on the "Who's Who in America" in 2001.
Dr. Uhl received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in 1984.
His internship and residency program was completed at New York University Medical Center.
Dr. Uhl returned to Jefferson Medical College to complete his fellowship on Hand Surgery.
Dr. Uhl joined Capital Region Orthopaedics in 1999.
